Antivirus Protection

Antivirus Protection is a fake antivirus software, or a rogue security software. Antivirus Protection does not offer any protection to computer users, instead is is a security threat.

Antivirus Protection is usually installed on a PC with the help of Trojans, usually the software is installed without the users knowledge or consent. Once Antivirus Protection is installed on a computer it will run a system scan and report multiple infections, which are fake. these false security warnings are used to scare people into buying a full license of the software.

To further frighten users into buying Antivirus Protection, the software will continually throw pop-ups and system warnings stating that the system is infected with malware. Again all these warning and alerts are fake. Antivirus Protection will also hijack the desktop and display security warnings. The parasite will also hijack the browser and continually force the browser to visit shady website with advertisments for other rogue software.

The installer for Antivirus Protection is usually placed in a folder in program files called PornoTubeXXX, see screenshot below:

If your computer is infected with Antivirus Protection, you should remove it immediately. Click here to remove Antivirus Protection with VIPRE Antivirus.
