MalwareDestructor

MalwareDestructor is a rogue anti-spyware program that dupes folks into thinking it will scan for spyware and malware on their computers.

MalwareDestructor is usually downloaded and installed silently without user consent, typically by other malware. The accompanying malware may display fake warnings that the computer is infected in order to scare the user into purchasing the program. MalwareDestructor is promoted on websites that promote other rogue security programs. MalwareDestructor hooks Internet Explorer and causes Internet Explorer to delay opening for two to three minutes.
