Ad-Eliminator

Ad-Eliminator is a rogue program that is made to dupe people into thinking it will scan for spyware and malware on their computer.

Ad-Eliminator is usually downloaded and installed silently without user consent, typically by other malware. The accompanying malware may display fake warnings that the computer is infected in order to scare the user into purchasing the program. Ad-Eliminator is promoted on websites that promote other rogue security programs. Ad-Eliminator hooks Internet Explorer and causes Internet Explorer to delay opening for two to three minutes.

If your computer is infected with Ad-Eliminator, you should remove it immediately. Manual removal of Ad-Eliminator can be difficult as it will try to reinstall itself. Use of a legit antispyware software is the easiest way to remove this PC parasite.
