ErrorGuard

ErrorGuard is a program that purports to scan for threats and errors on the system and uses exaggerated claims of threats to frighten the user into purchasing the program. ErrorGuard, created by Error-Guard Inc, displays pop-ups that cannot be closed by usual methods, typically reporting system errors that may be false.

ErrorGuard is aggressively advertised and may be installed without notice and consent under dubious circumstances. ErrorGuard does not display an End User License Agreement (EULA) during installation, but it is available on their website.
