Antivirus XP 2008 is a rogue antispyware that is made to look like a legitimate security software manufactured by Microsoft. Antivirus XP 2008 is not associated with Microsoft in any way and is a scam that should be avoided.

Once installed, AntivirusXP 2008 will hijack the users desktop and display security warnings, show web pages that tell the user Google has found infections on the computer and reports a variety of security risks in the form of scan results. These risks and security warnings are all fake and are only being displayed to scare people into thinking their computer is infected and they need purchase the software.
