WinPC Antivirus

WinPC Antivirus is a rogue antispyware, or a corrupt security software that is designed to scam people out of their money. WinPC Antivirus was created by cyber thieves and should not be trusted, do not buy this software.

WinPC Antivirus is a clone of other nasty rogue antispyware programs that include WinPC Defender, IE Security and XP Police Antivirus.

WinPC Antivirus, just like its clones, makes it's way from PC to PC with the help of Trojans that display fake security alerts that state the computer is infected and the user should download WinPC Antivirus. Once WinPC Antivirus is installed on a computer it will run a system scan and display a variety of infections that cannot be removed unless the user purchases the program. These infections, though, do not actually exist on the computer. Instead WinPC Antivirus is programmed to always show the same scan results regardless of the computer it is run on. It does this in order to scam people into thinking that they are infected and hoping that they will purchase the program in order to remove the infections.

Along with the false system scan results WinPC Antivirus will produce an endless barrage of false warnings and Internet Explorer hijackings. These alerts are programmed to stay on top of the desktop so that if the user has any running applications they need to close the alerts before you can get back to the screen they were working on. Here are some examples of the warnings WinPC Antivirus will continually display:

Trojan detected!
A piece of malicious code was found in your system which can replicate itself if no action is taken. Click here to have your system cleaned by WinPC Defender

Firewall Warning
Hidden file transfer to remote host was detected.

WinPC Antivirus will also hijack Internet Explorer browser so that it randomly shows a warning when browsing the web. The user may be shown an Insecure Internet Activity or a threat of virus attack screen, instead of the page they are trying to browse to.

WinPC Antivirus is a nasty parasite, if your PC is infected with WinPC Antivirus or any of it's clones, you should remove them now. Click here to remove WinPC Antivirus with VIPRE now.
