Cyber Security - Cyber Protection Center

Cyber Security is a phony security program, also known as rogue antivirus software. Cyber Security is made to look like legitimate security software, but is actually a complete scam designed to rip people off.

Using scare tactics Cyber Security preys on naive PC users that do not realize the program is a fake in hopes they will purchase the software. Cyber Security uses system scans that are falsified to frighten users into thinking their PC has numerous infections and prompts them to purchase a license of the software to clean the machine.

This is an example of a falsified warning of infections

The Cyber Protection Center, another part of the Cyber Security rogue, is made to be very similar to Microsoft's Security Center in an attempt to further trick people into buying the software.

If your PC is infected with Cyber Security, you should remove the infection immediately. Click here to use VIPRE to remove this annoying pest from your PC now.

  1. One of my machines was infected by this one. My girlfriend bought it thinking the PC was not protected by virus protection even though it was. What I thought was particularly devious is how it got her to disable the firewall to get it to work. Makes me want to find them and get a lynch mob together.
