Internet Antivirus

Internet Antivirus is a rogue antivirus program that uses scare tactics to frighten people into buying the software. Internet Antivirus is a scam and should be avoided.

Internet Antivirus makes it's way from PC to PC with the use of misleading advertising on questionable websites that trick people with false security warnings making them think that their computer is infected with spyware, which websites can not detect. Once people click on these ads Internet Antivirus is then downloaded.

Once infected with this corrupt software, Internet Antivirus will begin displaying system scan results and pop-ups stating that the computer is infected with spyware, which are false. Internet Antivirus uses these false warnings in an attempt to frighten people into buying the software.

This pest has multiple side effect including, injecting fake warnings into the web sites the user visits, displaying fake warnings when browsing to various web sites, and issuing popups stating that the computer has a variety security risks. These popups and warnings can cause the computer to slow down and not run as efficiently as it should.
