SoftVeteran is phony security software, or rogue antispyware. SoftVeteran is designed to rip people off, using scare tactics to push their corrupt software on unsuspecting PC users.

Once SoftVeteran has infected a computer it will begin a system scan and report a number of infections. These infections in the scan reports are fake, only shown to frighten the user into purchasing the software in an attempt to clean their PC. SoftVeteran will also show pop-up security alerts and system warnings stating the PC is infected, under attack or lacking antispyware protection. These warnings are fake too, again used to trick people into buying the software.

SoftVeteran poses serious security risks when installed on a PC. If your PC is infected with SoftVerteran, you should remove it immediately. VIPRE Can remove SoftVeteran.
